Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed an early aptitude for athletics when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic potential at the time. Following her initial audition, she placed among the top two athletes at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix completed high school in 2003 and was signed by Adidas an agreement as professional athlete. In the following year, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s, setting an all-time junior world record. She became the youngest world winner in the 200m at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her events.
