Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her initial attempt, she placed second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. Then she went to the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic prize at the 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s which set the new world junior record. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her races.
